The mission of Mission.Earth (Sponsor, Inc.) is to empower, educate and encourage our partners so as to enable maximum impact on progressive social innovation. We provide a platform and collaborative community so that administration and regulation does not impede positive social action.
Our vision is a world where innovative passion for socially positive action can be executed immediately and cost-effectively.
How We Accomplish This
Mission.Earth handles the back office work, so the project workers’ time is freed up to focus on action. Mission.Earth processes all donations for the individual projects, files appropriate paperwork with government agencies, and pays the project’s related bills.

“Mission.Earth” is the trade name for Sponsor, Inc. a nonprofit organization organized under IRS code 501(c)(3). Sponsor, Inc. can be found under the tax identification number 81-0741435.

History and Leadership
Founder Steve Meltzer created Mission.Earth as a response to an increase in requests for fiscal sponsorship through another nonprofit called the Land Conservation and Advocacy Trust (LCAT). Seeking to provide fiscal sponsorship services to charitable projects whose missions fell outside the chartered purpose of LCAT required a new organization with a focused approach to fiscal sponsorship. In 2015, Mission.Earth was incorporated to fulfill that purpose.
Since then, Mission.Earth has sponsored nearly 100 charitable projects and facilitated a cumulative $4,000,000 in charitable activities.
